GeoZing is the most innovative software for learning Earth Sciences. It is a lab, which offers interactive, stereoscopic 3D experiments using real data from the Earth.

While "HawkEye Wizard" has a greater emphasis on research activities, GeoZing is more of a laboratory where you test your knowledge by identifying and locating geological features, as a real geologist does.

Three types of exercises are offered. With each type, GeoZing first points to a geological feature on the ground or beneath the sea. In the first type of exercise, you have to select from a set of terms, the one that best defines what you are observing. In the second type of exercise, you have to choose from a set of definitions, the one that best fits what you are viewing on the screen. In the third type of exercise, the term commonly used to name the feature is already indicated on the landscape or seascape, but you have to find the definition that best fits what you are observing on the screen.

These three types of exercises develop the ability to identify geological occurrences when observing real data; the ability to know where to look for a particular occurrence of a geological phenomenon; and the ability to understand the significance of geological features. All of these performed on real data, in stereoscopic (or normal) 3D, with the possibility of zooming in and out to study in more detail before a decision is made!

The first GeoZing is called Plate Tectonics. Others are in preparation: glaciation, volcanism, earthquakes, impact craters, landslides...!
